According to my flatmates, they found me really sassy which I don't think so at all. I mean, all I did was answer their questions with really obvious answers like:
Sam/Caroline: What are you cooking ?
Me: Food
Them: .....
Sam; Enough with the sass, Kelila !
That's the most common scenario. There are various situations where I end up sassing them unintentionally.
So my mum came over during my Easter break and I might have accidentally sassed her on a few occasions like:
While in the queue for the toilet, my mum offered to carry my bag while I use the toilet
Her: Why is your bag so heavy?
Me: Because there are things in my bag
My mum just stared at me while I did an interal oh shit. I totally did not realise it until I ACTUALLY said what I did.
Then the other morning, I took a morning shower and my mum helped me to comb my hair while I was reading my emails.
Her: Why is your hair so wet?
Me: Because I just took a shower
Obviously, that also wasn't the right answer because my mum was just speechless.
Those two incidents were what I could remember as me sassing my mum but I came online yesterday or something to a mention on twitter by my younger sister. The tweet went something like this:
Heard @Chailoti sassed my mum again.
Mum: Why are you sitting on the floor?K3: Because you are sitting on the chair
Now, I've got to clarify. K3 here refers to me because I am the 3rd in the family, I have 3 other siblings, of which 2 are older and 1 is younger. And next, at the accommodation we were at in London, there's only one chair near the power sockets. So if I want to use my phone while it's charging, I've got to sit on the chair or the floor. Unfortunately for me on that morning, my mum was in the seat so I sat on the ground when she asked me that.
Like really !
There's no other place to be ! And I really don't count that as being sassy !
