30 April 2015 - The end and the start

Was looking through my phone and realised that over the course of a week, I have already amassed 200 over photos to blog about, many of those are arty stuff but mostly about my flat life in general. Too many things to talk about, but as it gets closer to the examination period, the most important thing at the moment is .....

Choosing my optional modules for Academic Year 15/16. It's really quite hard to make up my mind. I have to choose 30 credits worth of modules and it's difficult because 1) I have to choose one that is useful for my future career path, 2) choose within 30 credits and not go over this limit, 3) it's got to be interesting to me.

So ... I've got to choose from:
- Reproductive Physiology (10C)
- Agricultural and Food Marketing (10C)
- Endocrine Control Systems (20C)
- Practical Techniques in Human Nutrition (10C)
- Food Safety and Legislation (10C)

I was considering Practical techniques and food safety + Endocrine because it gives me some flexibility to work with food and nutrition research in future but .... obviously it's over 30 creds which means that, I either drop Food Safety or take food safety and practical techniques, then choose between reproductive or agricultural and food marketing.

Truth be told, I don't know what's the best route for me. I would love to do research but I must also think of the chances whereby I won't be able to, meaning .... I need to go for either public health or food companies. Which is a problem because I can't put those two together in my head.

I don't like reproductive physiology and don't see it adding value to my degree, which leaves me with the choice of AFM, which would add value to my degree but ... not exactly of my interest, but is 100% coursework based, so it might be a little easier for me when it comes to examination periods ....

Sigh. But endocrine control systems sounds very interesting too... Looks like I'll need to drop my personal tutor an email to see what is the best way of going about this.
