It's kind of crazy to think about how quickly time is passing because lo and behold, we're already almost half way through 2015. So far, I have already decided on my modules for next year, my Spring semester in 2016 would be hell. Seriously. I have 5 modules in Spring, 4 examinable. But the coursework based one is kind of taxing with reports and presentations, though I am kind of looking forward to it with trepidation.
Good news is, that would be a module that I would be taking with Ivana, Saniya and Max. Max was too funny. We were discussing our module choices after submission of the module forms and that was then and only then did he realise that all of his spring modules, both his core and optionals, are all coursework based.
Which means, good for him, he would have no exams at all, and also bad for him, because he would die with the amount of coursework. Because Max loves to leave everything to the last minute. That would go so well. Upon that realisation, Max started to moan and plant his face on the wall going, oh nooooo ! WHAT HAVE I DONE !!!!
But of course, upon realising that it meant that he won't have any exams in spring, he was instantly rejuvenated and went, Yeap, I can do that. Yay !
Yeap, he can do that if he could kick the habit of not doing work in advance.
Other than the submission of module forms, it has been a rather busy week. On Sunday (03/05/15), we had our first SB fest and Sco-Op did a summer sale and make your own organic pizza which drew in loooong queues. I don't know what I could have done without the other people helping me and Lisa is absolutely amazing !
So yes, Where I was, was where we were selling our goods and on the other side was where everyone was making their pizza and Pete, the lovely man from Paul's, helped to bake the pizza and cut it up. Oh, and that was cider that I was drinking. It was so good and it didn't taste alcoholic but it took me out afterwards.
That's all our goods laid out in front. And the one on the far right, is also called Max, but he is not my whiny flatmate. Max helps out from time to time and is really sweet.
Pete was so nice to make a pizza and then cut it up for us to have them ! So Angelina and I are making use of our position to get some free pizza !
And that's where Hansel and Gretel are threatened to throw into ... I mean, the pizza was being woodfired in this oven. So awesome. It was a pity that I didn't get the chance to make my own pizza because everytime I queue up for the pizza, something crops up and I have to leave the queue to sort it out. So in the end ... I only had my free pizza ): But well, I still had pizza !
And this is wonderful Pete ! He was really nice and sweet. It was a fun day, pretty busy and crazy but the weather was far from good. The pizza sauce jar kept getting stuck so I had to keep running to Connor and Max to open it up. It was funny because Max (the flatmate) couldn't get it open but Connor did. So we just kept making fun of Max.
SB fest was really good but I missed out on the concert because I was stuck in bed feeling sick, all because of the cider I had. Ughh. English Cider is no joke. English Ciders are more alcholic in content than other ciders apparently.
But it was good. Despite the fact that it made me miss out on the best part of the night. SB fest bar night and the concert.
Wednesday was shop day so I set up shop all by myself etc. It was pretty good business that day but maybe because it was Farmers' Market. But it rained really hard. The weather recently is really British. Wish it could stop raining so much, but I guess that's too much to ask of the British weather. I guess I would have to just settle for warmer weather. It's finally hitting 12 degrees celsius, much lower than I expected for Spring.
Did the nutrition spring assessment/exam yesterday and the results are out today. Got 84% on it, so coupled with the 89% I got for Autumn exam, I can finally rest in peace since that means that I've secured a First for the module.
Just got to work hard and revise for biochem now. I have been dutifully sticking to the revision plan that I wrote up and so far so good ! Going to dash off for some revision now. :3 !
