Instead of doing my revision as I had envisioned to (what's the surprise), I ended up on Facebook and through someone's link, I found myself watching a video on Caine and his cardboard arcade. The link, if I was honest, was a little click-baity and while I would have normally ignored such links. I found myself clicking in and the next thing I know, I was smiling and kind of tearing up.
Caine's Arcade
It's really remarkable how a young child, managed to build a cardboard arcade all on his own. I truly believe that as a child, you don't know what's limits. To a young child, there is no limit. Limits only exist when you as an adult tell them no or discourage them. A child's imagination knows no bounds, no limits, no failures. If they fail, they try again. It's more than just remarkable when I think about it.
And when I look at it all, I wonder, how and when did we lose all this imagination and perseverance. I am pretty sure that I was funny and creative when I was a kid but now, somewhere through it all, I seem to have lost a little bit of those, instead, finding myself hitting walls.
But maybe, all I had needed was someone like Nirvan and Caine's dad, who just do very small things to encourage the continuation of this imagination and innovations. A small act on Nirvan's side changed both their lives for good.

It's crazy how things can change, just from a simple act like that. And now, with Caine's Arcade going/gone viral, he inspired other kids and even adults to do things to help children like him. I just find myself smiling when I watched the video. It makes me think that, the world can and could be a better place. It's just amazing how one act of kindness goes on to fuel more acts of kindness where more than one person could benefit from it.
Nirvan went on to create Imagination Foundation with the aim of helping children like Caine reach their full potential by fostering and fund their creativity.
